Raipur, Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh said that ‘Sanchar Kranti Yojana’ (SKY) mobile connectivity is the biggest mission of its kind in the entire globe. This is big step in the direction of empowering women and youth. MNREGA and Tendu patta collectors also will speak on Smart phones. Dr. Raman Singh was addressing a large gathering in connection with ‘Mobile Tihar’. He inaugurated the SKY project by distributing ten Smart phones to women in Bilaspur. Around 12 lakh 50 thousand Smart phones will be distributed in Bilaspur division. About 70 camps will be organized in every Assembly segment and mobiles will be given away. This will be linked with Adhaar and a selfie also will be taken along with the beneficiary.
Urban Development Minister Mr. Amar Agrawal, Parliamentary secretary Mr.Raju Kshatri, Assembly Deputy Speaker Mr. Bhadridhar Deewan, Former Speaker of Assembly Mr. Dharamlal Kaushik, Chhattisgarh Women’s Commission Chairperson Mrs. Harshita Pande, Zilla Panchayat Chairman Mr. Deepak Sahu, Bilaspur Municipal Corporation Mayor Mr. Kishore Rai, were present. Around 14 thousand 769 Smart phones will be given away in Bilaspur Municipal Corporation region and 25 thousand in 10 towns of district Bilaspur.
Chief Minister said that State Government employees who will complete 30 years of service will be given Four-Tier salaries. They should have joined in direct recruitment after 1st January 2016. The State Government will incur an additional expenditure of Rs 100 crore. Chief Minister said that as per Cabinet decision, farmers have to pay flat rate of electricity bills on more than one irrigation pumps also. Subsidy of Rs One lakh on irrigation pumps had also been started again.
Chief Minister said that Smart phones can be used as phone computer desktop and laptops. Railway tickets can be booked, provisions can be ordered, money can be transferred, farmers can get updates on weather reports and the state Government policies and programmes can be viewed on ‘Goth’ App. Students can obtain study material on Smart phones. Dr. Raman Singh said Government and private Colleges students will be provided with smart phones.
Chief Minister while referring to the Rs 301 crore drinking water project said that there will not be water crisis in the next 50 years in Bilaspur city. Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi had hiked the Minimum Support price (MSP) by Rs 200 on paddy, makka, pulses and oil seeds. An amount of Rs 300 a quintal bonus also will be given to farmers. He also distributed twelve hundred cycles, 300 tool kits to workers, Rs 3 lakh 90 thousand to the members of the deceased families, ‘Land Pattas’ to 5 beneficiaries and 40 E-Rickshaws to beneficiaries. Motorized tri-cycles to 2 citizens, tri-cycles to nine beneficiaries, wheelchairs to seven, Sravan aid to three persons and crutches to seven citizens.
