Naya Raipur Tribal Museum- Institute will become centre of preserving tribals’ culture: Dr. Raman Singh

 Chief Minister sanctions Rs 1.58 crore to Gondwana Samaj buildings
Raipur, Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today said that the Tribal Research Institute (TRI) being built at a cost of Rs 26 crore will become the centre for preserving Adivasi culture and traditions. The institute will nurture tribals’ languages, dialects and about to go extinct musical instruments. Research can be done on the tribals also. Dr. Raman Singh was addressing a gathering of Gondwana tribals of all 27districts at his official residence. Tribals’ Development Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap, Forest Minister Mr. Mahesh Gaagda, Chhattisgarh State Scheduled Tribes’ Commission Chairman Mr.G.R. Ranaa, and Vice-Chairman Mr. Vikaas Markam and large number of Gondwana Community office-bearers were also present.

The delegation thanked the Chief minister for sanctioning Rs One crore to Gondwana Samaj community building in the capital and Rs 58 lakh for community bhawan at Pali in district Korba. Chief Minister said that nodal officers will be appointed in T.R.I. and the tribals leaders can give suggestions for preserving their culture and traditions and regarding the developmental activities in their regions. The contribution of Scheduled Tribes towards the development of Chhattisgarh is spectacular and noteworthy. Educated society only progresses. He called upon the gathering to educate their sons and daughters. He stressed upon the need for skills development of youth. The youth are well aware of the developments in the society.

Dr. Raman Singh revealed that works worth Rs 450 crore had been implemented by the Bastar and Southern Region Development Authority and Surguja and Northern Adivasi Region Development Authority. Local youth are being top priority in the recruitment of State Government Grade-III and Grade -IV jobs in Bastar and Surguja divisions. About six thousand youth had already been recruited in these categories from these divisions. Mr. Kedar Kashyap said that eminent personalities will be honoured on the Adivasi Day on 9th August. The State Government had worked tirelessly in the emancipation of depressed sections of the society during the past 18 years.
